Leadership coaching is a tool to help develop leaders. Our approach to coaching involves working with successful leaders who want to be even more effective.
The coaching process starts with the leader picking a behavioral goal to improve and announcing it publicly. Then, the leader follows up with their stakeholders (those who see them regularly) for suggestions on ways to improve on the goal. Stakeholders are the coaches on the ground who are best positioned to observe the leader's behavior regularly. Therefore, it makes sense that they are the best to give suggestions on how the leader can demonstrate the behaviors that will lead to goal improvement.
Progress on the goal is measured by asking stakeholders how well the leader is demonstrating the behavior they chose to improve.
The process of announcing the goal publicly, involving stakeholders and measuring progress is what sets our process apart from most others.
