Team Effectiveness

Team Building Without Wasting Time

The first and most critical step in a high performing organization is creating cohesive and effective leadership teams. We work with intact leadership teams to help them identify their strengths and where they could be even more effective. And we provide a process to help them get there.

What many call Team Building, we call Team Effectiveness. Most Team Building centers on playing games as a way to "build" teams. This method does not provide the depth of effectiveness most leaders expect. Games are fun and can be a part of the process, but real change comes from a disciplined process and hard work.

The team coaching process is simple, but not easy.

Step 1: Ask team to assess effectiveness to determine if team believes team building is both important and needed.

Step 2: Determine gap based on team scores.

Step 3: Identify team behavior(s) and individual behavior(s) to shift.

Step 4: Team members follow up with each other once per month.

Step 5: Conduct a mini-survey 4 months after initial team meeting and review results to determine path forward.
